QUICK-START

Couldn't care less what CYCELL is and how it works?

Just want to slap some cells on the screen?

This page is for you...

Click on the Blue/Yellow tab and the interface to the right should open.

Adjust the sliders next to the Place x by y grid to some reasonable level, and click.

Check the Toggle radio button. Click Iterate.

Your cells should start moving. Adjust all the sliders and make a mess of everything.

See of you can make the Blue cells encircle the Yellow cells. This is called cell sorting; it's the reason programs like this were invented in the first place. Bored? Read Simulation of Biological Cell Sorting Using a Two-Dimensional Extended Potts Model.

When you've succeeded in filling the screen with a horrible mess of cells and/or crashing the program, check out the other pages to figure out what the heck is going on.
